Sources within the Târgșor Penitentiary said, for Agerpres, that the former minister could not receive care at the penitentiary's office because, due to lack of staff, the cabinet was closed during the night, this being a common thing lately.

Elena Udrea was sentenced to 6 years in prison in the Gala Bute file. It is incarcerated in the Târgșor Penitentiary of June 6, 2022.

In addition to the three years of uninterrupted detention, the judges reduced them from the conviction nine months of imprisonment, representing the periods of preventive arrest, house arrest executed both in Romania and in Costa Rica, respectively Bulgaria.
