He also murdered one of his victims. He quartered their bodies and stored in the fridge in his apartment. In December 2020, he was sentenced to death. Takhiro Shiraishi's lawyer appealed against this judgment to the Supreme Court in Tokyo, but soon he withdrew his appeal. So the judgment was valid.
Takahiro Shiraishi was arrested in October 2017. Earlier, the police searched his home in the city of Zama. The trail led them there during the search for a missing 23-year-old who shared her suicidal thoughts on social media. Three refrigerators were found in the Japanese room, and five containers in which human heads and bones were found.
