Possible forbidden to sell alcohol at stations


According to the journal, the final decision has not yet been made, but The Ministry of Health “seriously considers” the introduction of such a ban. The next version of the bill is to be ready in the coming weeks.
As part of the consultation, other proposals also appeared – among others A total ban on advertising beer, including non -alcoholic versions. The press office of the Ministry of Health confirmed that many comments were received regarding the expansion of the project for such restrictions, but did not refer directly to the issue of the ban on selling alcohol at stations.
According to the constitutionalist from the University of Warsaw, prof. Ryszard Piotrowski, quoted by “Rzeczpospolita”, such a restriction could be considered interference in the freedom of economic activity.
The data of the Polish Organization of Industry and Naftal Trade (POPIHN) shows that in the first quarter of 2024 the sale of alcohol at stations accounted for only 2.2 percent. the entire volume and 2.6 percent values of the alcoholic beverages market in Poland.
