Among the topics on the agenda are some economic, strategic and national security, the truth sources say.
One of the sensitive topics to be discussed is the disaster produced at Salina Praid, where the specialists confirm that the site is completely destroyed and can no longer be recovered. The massive floods have irretrievably compromised the underground structure, and the economic activity was stopped indefinitely.
The second subject of weight is to combat the large -scale tax evasion, which the new executive qualifies as a strategic danger. The theme was included on the CSAT agenda to explore the involvement of information services in support of the tax authorities, especially in cases with a systemic impact.
At the same time, there is also discussed the updating of the national defense strategy, so that the evasion is explicitly included as a risk of economic and institutional security. Although secret services would not carry out direct tax controls, they could provide essential data for investigating fraud networks.
The first CSAT meeting led by Nicușor Dan will also represent the debut of a new government team, with the new foreign ministers (Oana Țoiu) and defense (Ionuț Mosteanu). In the current CSAT, USR and PNL have three members, PSD one and UDMR none.
Asked what the Romanian state can do in the case of misinformation that propagates quickly in the online environment, President Nicuşor Dan said on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in Odessa, that there will be a discussion on this topic in the first CSAT meeting.
