A 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were detained for rape and child pornography, after the minor filmed and then distributed on social networks images of the young man having sexual relations with a teenage girl whom he allegedly assaulted and immobilized, on a vacant lot near a town in Iasi county.

The judge of rights and freedoms at the Iaşi Court was notified with a proposal for preventive arrest of the two, for 30 days.
The policemen of the Iasi Organized Crime Brigade, together with the prosecutors of the Organized Crime and Terrorism Investigation Department – Iasi Territorial Service, investigated two people, aged 16 and 18, for rape of a minor, complicity in this crime and child pornography.
From the administered evidence, it emerged that, in November 2025, on a vacant lot near a town, in Iaşi County, the 18-year-old person, exercising acts of violence and immobilizing her, allegedly forced a 15-year-old minor to have several sexual relations.
In this context, the 16-year-old would have encouraged the other person being investigated and would have given him certain indications, during which he would have made, with his mobile phone, a video in which the minor victim would have appeared in explicit sexual poses, later distributing, through some social networks, these images.
Following two searches of the two's homes, the police discovered and seized data storage devices.
On December 17, 2025, the prosecutors of the Organized Crime and Terrorism Investigation Department – Iaşi Territorial Service ordered the detention of the two people, and on Thursday, the rights and freedoms judge of the Iaşi Court was notified with a proposal for their preventive arrest, for 30 days. The action benefited from the support of police officers from Section no. 8 Letcani Rural Police.
