Today at the session of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, deputies unanimously approved Alexei Medvedev for the post of chairman of the regional government. Let us remind you thatThe position was vacated after former Prime Minister Sergei Vereshchagin was elected mayor of Krasnoyarsk.
Medvedev's candidacy submitted Governor Mikhail Kotyukovpreviously received approval from the relevant committee. Preliminary work was carried out within the framework of committees and parliamentary factions: prepared questions were sent in advance for consideration. They are forward-looking in nature and will form the basis for interaction with the deputy corps.
“In a speech to deputies, Alexey Medvedev identified the main areas of work: national projects, social policy, technological development and strengthening ties between science, education and the economy. Much attention will be paid to family-oriented policies. In healthcare, ensuring uniform standards of care and developing digital solutions; in education, improving the quality of natural sciences and integrating vocational education with the needs of industry. Medvedev also outlined support for small and medium-sized businesses and building a transparent dialogue with large taxpayers. The new chairman of the government assured the deputies of his commitment to the principles of consistency, scientific validity and open interaction with the Legislative Assembly,” the parliament’s press service said.
Let us remember that Medvedev is 54 years old. He graduated from Krasnoyarsk State University with a degree in Economics and Management. Since January 2024, he served as deputy chairman of the government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Before this at different times worked in the Ministry of Economy of the Moscow Region, headed the regional laboratory of the Center for Strategic Research, and held key positions in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Russian Science Foundation.
