The multiple swim champion David Popovici noted on Facebook on Friday after winning the second medal at the European U23 championship, that these performances are the result of “years of work, sacrifices and dreams”, reports news.ro.
“Gold and bronze at the European Championship U23, Samorin! Two moments that fit in 24 hours, but gather years of work, sacrifices and dreams.
I am grateful for everything I live and for all those who support me unconditionally.
I thank the team, the coaches and you, to those who are with me! ”Wrote Popovici.
David Popovici won the bronze medal on Friday in the free 50m test within the European Youth Swimming Championship (U23), a competition that takes place at Samorin. He ended the third with a time of 21.86, in a less familiar test for him, according to Golazo.ro.
A day ago, David Popovici won the gold at 200 m free.
He will compete on Saturday, at 100 m free.
