The Ministry of Finance is working on a new tax, which will be imposed on banks, announced on Wednesday the Minister of Finance Andrzej Domański, which the quotations of companies from this sector reacted to decreases. The main indexes of the Warsaw Stock Exchange withdrew that day. Instead, medium and small companies grew.

The flagship index of the Warsaw Stock Exchange was on the inheritance territory from the very beginning of the session, but the scale of the discount deepened just before the end of trade. As a result, WIG20 lost 0.49%on Wednesday, withdrawing to 2749 points. Less, because only 0.16% gave WIG that day, returning to 101,448 points. Instead, the slopes of medium and small companies bypassed the decreases. MWIG40 gained 0.65%and SWIG80 strengthened by 0.62%.

The value of trading on the Warsaw Stock Exchange was over 500 million lower than Wednesday and did not exceed PLN 1.5 billion. Ok PLN 1.2 billion in turnover concerned companies from the WIG20 index. The highest value of turnover took place at Orlen shares and amounted to PLN 217 million. PKO BP (PLN 189 million) and Pekao (PLN 92 million) were in the following places in this statistics.

During the conversation on Radio Zet, Minister of Finance Andrzej Domański revealed that his ministry is working on tax on interest on the mandatory reserve kept by banks at the National Bank of Poland. As he assessed, the budget revenues achieved in this way could reach PLN 1.5-2 billion next year.

WIG-Banki lost 1.54% on Wednesday and was the weakest sector of the WSE that day. Not only the falling ratings of banks dragged down with them WIG20. A day in the plus of the Blue Chips of the Warsaw Stock Exchange did not end the day. The most discounted company in the index was PKO BP, which lost 2.20%. Just behind him, Pekao's quotations, which gave away 2.13%.

In the report of June 18, which reached a wide range of market participants on Wednesday, DM Trigon analysts recommended “Buy” for PGE, Enea and Tauron. On that day, Polska Grupa Energetyczna was the most expaining company in the WIG20 index and its shares gained 3.03%.

CCC's quotations were in second place among Blue Chips, which gained 2.44%. The increase was not accompanied by any news on the company's ESPI channel. In addition, Dino (+1.42%) and Żabki (1.30%) have grown above 1%.

The recommendation of Trigon analysts had a much smaller impact on ENEI and Tauron's quotation than in the case of PGE. Both companies gained 0.78% and 0.15%, respectively. On Wednesday, the volume of Virtual Poland (+4.49%), Cyber_folks (+3.60%) and AB (+3.16%) were the driving force of the MWIG40 index.

The WSE in a terrible style went to the main market on Wednesday with NewConnect, Qna Technology, specializing in “synthesis and engineering of semiconductor surfaces of quantum dots, with particular emphasis on blue quantum dots that do not contain heavy metals.” Debutant's shares lost 20.63%.

Columbus' actions (+4.46%) were very more expensive in a row. At the end of the session, the company informed on the ESPI channel that its general meeting decided on Wednesday about the sale of an organized part of the enterprise for PLN 90 million to a company belonging to Gemston ASI SA, whose president is the current president of Columbus Dawid Zieliński.
