Warsaw councilors listened to the report on the state of the city and gave the capital of the capital Rafał Trzaskowski a vote of trust. 37 councilors voted for, 13 were against. Five councilors abstained.

Earlier, the President of the Capital presented a report to the city's state report for 2024, in which all last year's investments and the financial situation were summarized.

“Over the past months we have been witnessing mainly attacks on the capital and lots of manipulations. I am very happy that today we can return to normality and, above all, show Warsaw not only for Warsaw residents, but for all Poles, as a city of success – a city that is dynamically developing and determined trends not only in Poland, but also in Europe,” said President of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski.

He noted that Warsaw residents are primarily looking for a place for themselves, and the duty of the local government is to bring Warsaw to meet all their ambitions and expectations.

He explained that the actions of the town hall are based on three pillars: the capital of convenience, common free time and greenery.

“By asking for discharge, I am not only asking for the assessment of the tasks completed. I am asking for a fine for further work for the citywhich is home to all Varsovians and the reason for pride for all Poles. Let's build Warsaw further as the capital of the future. A city whose rhythm can be heard all over Europe. The city is strong, solidarity, the best for life, which more and more people are jealous of us ” – emphasized Trzaskowski.

Sławomir Potapowicz, Vice -President of the Council of Warsaw, spoke on behalf of the KO councilors'

“We see a consistently continued policy that builds a city for everyone. Because the city is neither ours or yours. The city is all residents of Warsaw” – noted Potapowicz.

He emphasized that councilors KOCH want Warsaw for everyone. “We want a convenient, available, green, modern, low -emission and safe Warsaw Warsaw. And in each of these areas Warsaw becomes such” – he added.

“Fig, which emerges from the gentlemen of speeches, is not what determines the everyday life of the inhabitants of our city. Residents tell us about the significant difficulties that they have to face in the city. What is needed for now is both a discussion about two visions of the city, as well as a conversation about not using the development opportunities that stand in front of Warsaw,” said Tomasz Herbich representing the PiS council club.

He noted that many investments in Warsaw are delayed; In June this year The renovation of the Łazienkowska route on the Prague side should be completed, the renovation of the Skra has been promised for 7 years, and the tram on Wilanów, or the Museum of Modern Art, which has been planned for 20 years, as well as the modernization of the Congress Hall is delayed for 7 years.

He also reminded the unrealized election promises of the Mayor of the City: Tram to Gocław, III Metro line, or free communication for high school students.

He also reported that the PiS councilors' club would vote against the President of the City of Trust.

Councilor Agata Diduszko-Zyglewska on behalf of the Left Councilors' Club and the city is ours presented several matters relevant to residents and unrealized. She mentioned, among others landscape resolution, communication exclusion of neighboring districts, or how to calculate trash fees, sale of municipal apartments.

Later, councilors took the floor by presenting specific, detailed problems that the residents come to them. Trzaskowski, answering questions, declared, among others Acceleration of the development of municipal housing, he also explained that investment problems were related to Pandemia and the war in Ukraine, he also promised that the town hall office would answer more detailed questions.

“The tons of our discussion, it is largely substantive, for which I thank you. We will go back to some matters. I am ready to accept every criticism, but let it be substantive. If we want to talk about what to do next, then returning to statistics from the time of pandemic does not serve to serve this discussion. And we should go further” – said the president of Warsaw.

He emphasized that he is pleased that hardly anyone in the room questions the priorities he wants to implement. (PAP)
