The owner of the “Expired” club, message from arrest. “Am I sick or am I an offender?”

Andrei Şoșa, the owner of the “Expired” club in Bucharest, sent a message from behind the bars, where he is in preventive arrest on charges of drug trafficking. He claims that he came into this situation because he purchased “sleeping pills”, being “dependent” on them.

Am I sick or am I offender? As you know, I'm in prison. In fact, it is called a center of detention and preventive arrest, but it is all prison. I'm already on the eighth day. I am preventively arrested because I bought sleeping pills from a site in England. For about 5 years I have been dependent on these sleeping pills. I am sick. You know the accusations. My story does not, ”writes in the text posted on Andrei Şoșa's Facebook account, which he says published his wife, after transmitting him through the lawyer.

The owner of the club “Expired” says that “the lifestyle of a jail is difficult”.

“Very much stress, night work, you are practically on a different time than the normal world. From such fertile soil, it was impossible not to rise. It is a disease. During the pandemic period, I asked for medical support and so I discovered Zolpidem, the medicine that was legally prescribed by a doctor.

He claims that he “returned to insomnia” when he finished treatment, but did not take the doctor.

“A mistake that costs me. The time passed and I was looking for alternative solutions, so I found a site from England, who sold Zolpidem free. I ordered without thinking for a moment that I was doing something illegal. It is the first time in my life when I deal with the Criminal Code. In fact, the lawyer tells me that I am not from the Criminal Code. Considered to be in the same category with drugs, ”added Andrei Şoșa.

“I became very easily dependent on Zolpidem”

The driver says he developed this addiction “very easily”.

“” I became very easily dependent on Zolpidem because this is the main reason why I learned that it is on the special list: it adds quickly and tolerance increases. It has no hallucinogenic effects, it does not make you feel better or worse, just sending you to sleep. Curious what I was doing with the hundreds of pills found by the police, ”he said.

Andrei Şoșa claims he didn't know he was doing “something illegal”.

“And as the greatest panic of an addict is not to remain without, I recently ordered a need for all summer to start, because in the summer, you all know that I was moving to the sea. I did not hurt anyone and, in my stupidity, I did not know that I was doing something illegal, although I was convinced that, in the long term, I could” affect me, “

He claims that he is “sick, not an offender”.

“I am accused of being trafficked with Zolpidem and that I would have held the pills for sale. What would be the logic? My income, all absolutely legal, are more than enough for my needs. How could I buy from England at a price 100 times higher than the one I had paid to a pharmacy in Romania and I have to sell it? Andrei Şoșa.

What did he say about arrest days

Andrei Şoșa, who says that when he can want to get involved “actively, by all means, including by donations, in this problem of addictions”, also spoke about the eight days of arrest.

“The 8 days spent here are like a shock therapy. I decided not to take any treatment, which I hope will help me, in the long run, to get rid of them. At first it was terrible. In the first 48 hours, I did not sleep at all, but I sat as much. 😊) helped me to be functional. Oh, and the books, I read these days as I did not read in the last year, ”said Andrei Şoșa.

The owner of the “Expired” club said that on Wednesday, the request to be taken to house arrest will be judged on Wednesday, which he considers that “it would be ideal to take a correct treatment.”
