The Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory proposed ideas for the development of science in the regions to the Government of the Russian Federation

The governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov spoke at the strategic session of the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin, dedicated to the prospects for the development of Russian science.
Mikhail Mishustin recalled that last year the presidential decree approved the strategy of scientific and technological development. The document indicates priorities to which they will direct support measures. By 2030, research and development costs will be increased. Including due to the growth of investment by private business.
“This requires a new model for the development of science. Its basis will be national projects, and the result of their implementation should be specific high -tech products, modern technologies, solutions for the real sector, created taking into account the needs of industries, enterprises. It is necessary to combine the resources of the state and business, determine the priority of financing, and ensure uniform approaches to planning and management of costs for work, ”the head of the Cabinet of Ministers said.
The press service of the regional government said that during his speech, Mikhail Kotyukov outlined the main directions for the formation of an effective system of support for research in the subjects of the country. The proposals were developed by a profile working group. Among the key initiatives are the involvement of territories in the determination of priority scientific areas, measures to decentralize personnel and strengthen the infrastructure of institutions in the regions, as well as the expansion of opportunities for the participation of constituent entities of the Russian Federation in grant programs of development institutions.
“We need to build a model in which scientific research will be maximally focused on the needs of specific regions. When the studies meet the real requests of the economy of the country's subjects, we get demanded results, the interest of the business, and, most importantly, the opportunity to keep talented local specialists, ”the head of the Krasnoyarsk Territory emphasized.
