President Nicușor Dan held a speech on Monday, during the ceremony to take the investment oath by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and his ministers, and he was declared “very optimistic”, emphasizing the need for state reform.

“We start a new chapter today. I want to thank, first of all, the majority parties and the representatives of the national minorities, because they understood the imperative that Romania has at this time, namely stability. Most to act as such, to collaborate for the common interest ”, said Nicușor Dan.

The president says that the “fiscal issue” has been discussed “a lot”.

Obviously I discussed a lot and it was an imperative the fiscal issue, and I am very happy that the parties have assumed the corrections that Romania has to make. I am very optimistic. On the one hand, because we have a private sector that is dynamic, which has managed to double the GDP (gross domestic product, no) in 10 years. On the other hand, we have as a final goal of 2026 the entry into the OECD (the organization of cooperation and economic development, no) and that means much more foreign investments, that means cheaper interest, that means confidence for the Romanian economy.

The head of state sent a new call to the reform.

“Beyond the economy, we must reform the state and I am also glad that the parties that have assumed the government and the minorities have assumed the state reform. Beyond that, we must regain the citizens' confidence in the authorities of the Romanian state. hating the “success” of the new government.
