In Krasnoyarsk, a technical specialist of the cybercrime group will appear before the court, who helped to kidnap money from the buyer of auto parts.
The prosecutor’s office said that in September 2023, a 31-year-old programmer from Volzhsky (city in the Volgograd region) responded to an ad in the Telegram messenger. The customer proposed participating in the creation of phishing sites.
The man’s task was to create the illusion of sales of auto parts. He prepared a fake site and set up advertising using modern technologies to mask his activities.
Krasnoyarsk, who ordered a car engine for 85 thousand rubles, fell into a trap of attackers. Payment went to the accounts of scammers, but the order was never received.
The prosecutor’s office noted that the man did not admit his guilt, despite the presence of obvious evidence: “I only carried out the terms of reference on the data provided in the“ secret chat ”.” The attacker was detained, and the victim has already filed a civil lawsuit for compensation for damage.
The criminal case will be considered by the Central District Court of Krasnoyarsk.
