A counselor of the Supreme Iranian leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamena, said on Sunday, after American air attacks on the main nuclear installations of Iran, that the country still has enriched uranium stocks, AFP reports.

“Even if the nuclear sites are destroyed, the match is not over, the materials enriched, the acquired knowledge and the political will remain,” Ali Shamkhani wrote on the X network.

According to him, “the political and operational initiative are now on the side of the one who acts intelligently and avoids blind blows.”

“The surprises will continue!”, Says the counselor Ayatollahul Ali Khamenei, without any other details.

For ten days, Israel has been conducting an intense campaign of raids on Iran, with the stated purpose of neutralizing its nuclear program and the stock of ballistic missiles with which the Tehran responded to this campaign in waves on Israel.

But for hitting the Iranian nuclear installations located underground, especially the Fortow plant, about 80 meters below a mountain, Israel needed the involvement of the US, the Israeli army having no sufficiently strong anti-tunic bombs.

Therefore, the United States launched on Saturday night an operation entitled “The midnight hammer” (Midnight Hammer), in which they attacked the Iranian installations for enriching the Uranium from Fortow, Natanz and Isfahan.

14 GBU-57 anti-buses were used in the attack, dozens of Tomahawk cruise missiles and over 125 military aircraft, including seven invisible B-2 bombers, the latter launching anti-tunnel bombs.

But it is too early to conclude if the US bombing has managed to neutralize Iran's nuclear program, although US President Donald Trump claims that the main Iranian nuclear installations have been “completely destroyed,” AFP notes.

Also, it is not yet clear whether Iran has managed to withdraw from the enriched uranium installations to be sheltered elsewhere. Satellite images show at least six large craters produced by penetrating bombs on the Fortow plant site.

“The assessment of the damages caused is in progress, but our initial analysis shows that all our precision ammunition has hit where we have established and had the desired effect,” said the US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth.
