About 100 thousand people live almost a week without light in the Central Federal District due to heavy snowfall. Precipitation knocked down trees and cut off the power lines. Heater, boilers, teapots, stoves and other electric ones do not work in houses.
The statistics are this: in the Smolensk region, 48 thousand people are sitting without light, about the same amount in Tverskaya and 11 thousand in Kaluga (Spas-Demensky, Lyudinovsky, Kirov and Yukhnovsky districts). Specialists have been repairing a power line for the sixth day – energy from all over the Central Federal District even arrived to help. According to optimistic forecasts – they will repair everything by tonight, on pessimistic – by the end of the week.
