On Wednesday morning, deputy minister of agriculture Michał Kołodziejczak resigned. He explained that he was counting on “faster processes in some matters.”

“The actions of the minister began to harm the unity of the coalition. This is unacceptable, because the coalition is a certain value and I think that this is not the level of Minister Kołodziejczak to make such far -reaching ratings that do not serve the unity of coalition, they do not serve the government. I have repeatedly served the minister to this,” said Minister of Agriculture Czesław Siekierski on Wednesday.

He admitted that “the cooperation had burdens resulting from the specifics of the Minister.” “He often thought that certain actions were taking place too slowly, he wanted to take shortcuts. Introduction of certain solutions requires procedures and I wanted to follow these procedures. I wanted matters in the ministry to be solved and not done” – said Siekierski.

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture emphasized that “he did everything to ensure that the minister would enter the department's actions.”

“I was aware that these are new areas for him, hence at the very beginning we presented individual departments, the scope of matters that are in the ministry. The minister got very interesting areas, also when it comes to supervision. I think that it was openly on our part in relation to the minister,” said Siekierski.

The minister noticed that Michał Kołodziejczak undertook some actions outside the ministry. In Siekierski's opinion, this was due to the fact that Kołodziejczak went to Mrirw as a trade unionist.

Siekierski also pointed out that he had already taken over some of the competences of Deputy Minister Kołodziejczak. “There were various relations between him and the employees, the management of the department. I thought that in order to calm the atmosphere, I would personally supervise some things during the transition period,” he said.

The minister also expressed hope for future cooperation with Kołodziejczak outside the ministry. “This would be a great value for agriculture and the ministry. We will see what the path Minister Kołodziejczak will go” – summed up the head of MRiRW.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Michał Kołodziejczak announced on Wednesday morning that he resigned. He explained that he was counting on “faster processes in some matters”, explaining that his vision of agriculture was different than the minister Siekierski.

Deputy Minister Kołodziejczak – Minister Siekierski Media has been reporting for some time about the conflict on the line. At the beginning of June, Kołodziejczak told RMAF FM that he was seriously considering giving up the function in the government. As a reason, he gave a lack of real progress in the work of the ministry, which is managed by Czesław Siekierski from PSL.

Last week, Goniec.pl announced that Kołodziejczak was to pay for the diploma at Collegium Humanum. Bernard K., one of the university recruiters, was to contact the deputy head of MRiRW.

Kołodziejczak, referring to these reports in a conversation with Polsat News, said: “I did not buy any diploma, nothing like that happened.” He also said that in mid -2023 he decided to study and began talks with two private universities in Warsaw – from Collegium Civitas and Lazarski University. He admitted, however, that there was a moment that he received a phone call with an individual course of study at Collegium Humanum.

Michał Kołodziejczak became the deputy minister of agriculture after the October elections to the Sejm in 2023 on the recommendation of Donald Tusk. Earlier he was the founder and president of the Agrounia Foundation organizing protests against government policy in agricultural issues. From 2023 he has been an MP; He got to the Sejm from the Civic Coalition list. (PAP)
