The Iranian government issued a warning to citizens so that they would not use the WhatsApp messenger, fearing that Israel is collecting information from the talks held there. A spokesman for Meta, the owner of WhatsApp, emphasized that the news in this application is encrypted.

According to Times of Israel on Thursday morning, citing Netblocks monitoring internet communication and cybersecurity, Iran has been cut off from the Internet for over 12 hours. The situation was described as “almost total internet Blackout in the country”.
