“Things were clear when we were. I said we were stipulating the rock and a certain plan related to fiscal measures. We met tonight. PSD offered good faith, we said we can be part of a majority, that we want a stable government, that we go to those working groups to have a stable government.
We hold those tax measures, but let's see when the situation will unlock because it seemed to be unlocked. We said we want to keep the income. It seems that it was understood, that's why I went ahead ”, Grindeanu said at a press conference held in front of the PSD headquarters.
Grindeanu: “I think the rock is better than the variant of a technocrat”
Also, the interim leader of the PSD said that “The rock is better than the variant of a technocrat ”, However, at this moment, the negotiations are in a blockage that must be exceeded.
“If a technocrat is reached, it depends on who that technocrat is. I would prefer a political government and that is why I agreed with that political agreement you know, which provided for the rock and this is the solution we accepted. If we will be in another reality.
I think the rock is better than the variant of a technocrat. We said we came with proposals and measures. At this moment we are in a blockage that we have to overcome. We must also take into account the PSD. Tomorrow we would have been scheduled for an extended vote, which had to vote in the knowledge. Fiscal measures and political agreement, none of the conditions are met. When they are clear we will recover and give a vote whether or not we enter the government. We must have a quick government ”, Grindeanu said.
Bolojan wants VAT growth to accept the premier function
On Thursday, Ilie Bolojan had warned Nicușor Dan that he did not accept to be prime minister if the head of state refuses the VAT to 21%. The reason invoked by the president is that he gave in writing in the election campaign that the VAT will not increase in his mandate.
At the same time, it seems that USR leaders do not support a technocrat prime minister and it is not clear if they would agree to stay in a government with another prime minister than Ilie Bolojan.
Also, the discussion scheduled for Thursday evening, at 8:00 pm, between Nicușor Dan and the party leaders was canceled.
