Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced on Wednesday that he met with PSL leaders on the announced reconstruction of the government. “We have very similar points of view” – emphasized the prime minister and added that this week he would present the spokesman for the government.
Tusk during his statement after the National Security Council announced that he would face a series of conversations with party leaders creating a government coalition about the reconstruction of the government. He emphasized that so far he had talks with representatives of PSL. “I am after meeting the leaders of the Polish People's Party and it seems that we have very similar points of view when it comes to the renovated shape of the government and its priorities” – said Tusk.
He noted that a group of experts helps him in the reconstruction of the government.
“Talks with experts and politicians are underway (…) How to construct a government that would meet its tasks to an even greater extent than before,” said the prime minister and pointed out that he would communicate changes in the government only when they are finally agreed.
The prime minister also assured that this week – as previously announced – I will inform public opinions about the appointment of a spokesman for the government.
The reconstruction of his office announced by the head of the government is to take place in July. As he said during his expose before voting a vote of trust in June – it is about changing the structure and “new faces”. This week, the government spokesman is to be appointed. So far there have been two corrections in the government: MP Marcin Bosacki became a new deputy minister of foreign affairs, while Michał Kołodziejczak resigned from the function of deputy head of the reosrt of agriculture.
On Tuesday, however, PSL announced that in the next election he intends to start alone, and not as part of the Third Road coalition established in 2023. The Marshal of the Sejm and the Polish Leader2050, which was part of the PSL in the coalition, considered the decision of the PSL as the actual completion of the third way project. (PAP)
