Splaiul Independence in the Capital, closed on Saturday in the sense to Unirii for the works on the floor / alternative routes map

Temporary traffic restrictions will be set up on Saturday, June 21, in the Capital, on Splaiul Independence, on the way from the United Nations Square to the Unirii Square, the road brigade, according to AGERPRES.
According to the authorities, on Saturday, starting at 05:00, the City Hall of Sector 4 will establish traffic restrictions necessary for the rehabilitation and consolidation of the Dâmbovița river coverage floor.
Thus, the road traffic will be restricted on the Splaiul Independence, on the way from the United Nations Square to the Unirii Square.
In this context, the drivers who have as its destination The Unirii Square will have as an alternative route the Boulevard of Libertăţii – Constitution Square – Unirii Boulevard. The Road Brigade recommends that they respect the temporary signal located in the area, to circulate with increased attention and to respect the signals, indications and provisions of the road police.
So far, the authorities have not specified how long the traffic restrictions will take.
The mayor of Sector 4, Daniel Băluţă, announced at the beginning of June the beginning of the works to restore the Union.
“According to the building permit, the restoration works of the foundation of the old concrete floor of almost 100 years will consist of: the regeneration of the public spaces in the Unirii Square area, the restoration of the structure of the Dâmboviţa river, the restoration of the foundation of the Union called the bridge. It will finally have a thickness of the concrete layer,”
Other works that will take place are: the restoration of the construction networks, signaling and road markings, vertical systematization, the execution of temporary roads, the execution of irrigation facilities, temporary interventions on the artesian fountains.
The mayor of Sector 4 mentioned that the works will be divided into four stages, respectively in four distinct areas.
- Zone 1 – the portion in front of Manuc's Inn,
- Zone 2 – the portion of the park in front of the Unirea store,
- Zone 3 – the portion of the Fountain area,
- Zone 4 – the portion from the Union Passage.
