In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a hunter will appear before the court, who illegally received a subsidy from the budget for the shooting of wolves, as well as his friend who assisted in deception.
The prosecutor’s office said that in 2024 a resident of Krasnoyarsk came up with a scheme for illegally obtaining a subsidy, the rights to which were only northerners. Due to the increase in the number of wolves in Evenkia, the inhabitants of the tundra could kill a wolf, which posed a threat to their family or property, and then get 35 thousand rubles from the state for its skin.
Krasnoyarsk agreed with his friend, who lived in a tour and was a hunter that he would help him get money. In the tour, he flew in with 18 wolf skins, bought another 9 from local residents, took 11 from a friend, and he got 20 animals on the hunt. An application for money to the regional Ministry of Natural Resources and the Forest Complex and the necessary package of documents for it was submitted by a friend who simply wanted to help a friend.
The man received 1.6 million rubles. A criminal case of fraud was instituted against him upon receipt of payments (part 4 of article 159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Krasnoyarsk did not admit his guilt, assuring that he was in error.
The case was referred to the Ilumpy District Court, where it will be considered on the merits.
