“We have weapons, but we don't have enough funds”
The expert emphasized that despite the dependence on partners in the scope of some types of weapons, Ukraine should focus on the production of its own weapons of various types.
– We asked our partners for a long time for long -range weapons. Now we are hitting the territory of the Russian Federation with weapons of our own production. We control the airspace using our unmanned aerial vehicles. We must understand one thing – we must produce our own weapons of various types – said Chrapczyński.
According to the expert, Ukraine is still largely dependent on most technologically advanced solutions that allow her to capture ballistic missiles and rockets. However, Ukrainian companies are developing means of counteracting Russian drones, which the Kremlin attacks Ukraine in increasing quantities.
Already in May 2023, Chrapczyński's team proposed a comprehensive solution that anticipated the capture of enemy objects with various means. – We are currently testing a solution in which drones in automatic mode reach the sector thanks to artificial intelligence and cameras. They detect an air object and capture it themselves. We have weapons, but we do not have enough financial resources to produce such armament – added Chrapczyński
