The owner of a famous club in Bucharest, detained for drug trafficking. What investigators found at his home

The owner of the “Expired” Club in Bucharest was detained by DIICOT prosecutors for internal and international drug trafficking on Tuesday, judicial sources have said for AGERPRES.
The man is accused that, in May 2025, he purchased from the United Kingdom “300 tablets containing as an active substance Zolpidem (risk drug), intended for marketing, which he would have introduced in the country, through a postal and courier service company”, according to a statement of the Romanian Police.
Also, Monday, June 16, investigators found in its car another 10 tablets, with the same active substance.
At the Perchisms made by the police at his home in Ilfov, the investigators found hundreds of pills in the same category, as well as gold ingots and significant amounts of money in lei and euros.
“Following the search by police, on June 16, 2025, at the home of the person concerned, in Ilfov county, 283 tablets containing as an active substance Zolpidem, 52 tablets having as active substance Clonazepam, as well as others in the course of expertise, a collection, a collection, 31, were discovered and raised. 52 silver coins, 2 Bitcoin, 6 mini gold bullion, 31,600 lei, 15,300 euros, 2,270 Swiss francs, 1,350 US dollars, pounds, as well as other means of proof ”, the Romanian Police statement said.
