The Vatican will disable its mobile coating network throughout its territory starting Wednesday afternoon, to prevent any interference or leakage during the conclave that will choose Pope Francis's successor, according to Agerpres.

The government of the Vatican Fortress State notified all residents and employees that will “disable all transmission installations of the mobile and radio telecommunications signal.” This stop of communications will affect the entire territory of the Vatican Fortress, which occupies an area of 0.4 square kilometers in the center of Rome, and will start at 15:00 on May 7.

The decision was taken to ensure the “security of the activities of choice of the Pontiff” and the signal will be restored only after the choice of the future Pope, the Vatican governor states.

The 133 electric cardinals will be isolated in the Sistine chapel from Wednesday to vote in Conclov the successor of Pope Francis, and during the night they will remain in the Vatican buildings, such as the Santa Marta House.

The conclave must be carried out in a perfect secret, and the carders will not be allowed to disclose what has been discussed in the Sistine Chapel, nor leave the Vatican or communicate with any person outside the trial.

For the same reason, the technicians of the Holy See have already stopped the rooms and sensors with which the monumental chapel is monitored and made sure that there was no device that could be used for registration.

Both the cardinals and the officials and the auxiliary staff should swear that they will respect the full discretion on the conclave, and any disclosure about the discussions there will be sanctioned with excommunication.

Cardinals voters will meet in the Sistine chapel on Wednesdays starting at 4:30 pm and will continue to vote in secret until one of them gets a two -thirds majority of votes and thus become the spiritual leader of the 1.4 billion Catholics from all over the world.
