In Moscow, a tourist project for the development of tourism in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory was presented

In Moscow, a new project “On the Earth’s Earth” was presented at the travel forum “Travel” in the tourist forum. The forum was held at VDNH last week. The submitted project was created by Norilsk Nickel, the development agencies of Norilsk and Monchegorsk, as well as the “second school” and subsidiaries.
Visitors looked at the Arctic and enjoyed the northern radiance in VR-Ochki, tried the northern delicacies, participated in various games, and could also send a postcard with the Arctic landscape to their loved ones and friends, win a ticket to the Arctic Hotel and take a picture in thematic photo zones.
Experts from the Russian Union of Travel Industry note that Russians began to travel more often around the country and give preferences to places that are associated with some kind of terrain and historical events. In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, this is a Putoran plateau, where in 2025 they sold 2.5 times more rounds than a year earlier. On the Kola Peninsula, Rybachy Island is popular.
Three types of tourists are interested in tours-these are youth 18-30 years old, looking for acute and content for social networks, people 30-50 years old, who are interested in history, gastronomy, unique natural landscape, industrial tourism. The last category is corporate clients. Some companies use such trips for non -standard teambuilding.
The total tourist flow for Taimyr since 2021 grew from 9.6 to 20 thousand people. People come to events, for example, the Norilsk Trail cross-country race and a swim in the cold water of the X-Waters Yenisei annually attract up to 3 thousand people. The exhibition of domestic tourism “in the center of Taimyr”, popularizing Arctic tourism among Norilsk residents, covered 30 thousand people in 2023 and 44 thousand people in the current, 2025.
“We can offer environmental tourism, industrial tourism, because in our regions there are industrial facilities of Norilskel, as well as event and gastrotourism,” said Irina Zhuykova, director of the Norilsk Nickel social policy department.
In cities where the company works, development agencies have been created that help promote local tourism and business, create comfortable services for life. In addition, it is important for Norilsk Nickel to ensure stable employment in the Arctic and in the Far North. Workplaces are created not only in production, but also in the field of tourism and in other related directions.
“For a comprehensive proposal to the employee, when he chooses the extreme north, it is important to present not only the workplace, but also the city lifstail. Interest in the Arctic has grown significantly. This is due to the overall development of tourism in the country. People want to explore the unique nature, study the history and culture of small peoples, ”said Irina Zhuikova.
New tourist facilities appear in the region. When creating them, a fundamentally new approach is implemented – the maximum preservation of ecosystems. Therefore, all projects undergo a strict environmental examination and are implemented with a minimal impact on the nature of the tundra. The total investment of Norilsk Nickel in tourist facilities in the Far North amounts to more than 30 billion rubles.
One of the main projects of the next years is Zatundra, implemented near Norilsk, next to the Putoran Reserve. It includes two Park-hotels “Neoly” and “Lama” with a total number of rooms up to 100 rooms with the corresponding infrastructure, including a network of hiking and water tourist routes. The complex “Neole” has already been commissioned, in 2024 it was visited by 350 tourists.
