Vice President of Wrocław removed from the PO. “I would expect other standards”

If the verdict is maintained, it is possible that the PO will expect a change in the composition of the city authorities. The case was already commented on by the president of Wrocław Jacek Sutryk.
On Monday, the party court of Platforma Obywatelska decided to exclude Renata Granowska from the party. The Vice President of Wrocław did not participate in the meeting, previously informing that he was in business in Warsaw. The reason for her absence was the implementation of tasks related to projects relevant to the city.
Chairman of the party court of the Lower Silesian Civic Platform adv. Krzysztof Bryłka informed PAP that on Monday the decision of the three -person court's composition, the Vice President of Wrocław Renata Granowska was excluded from the ranks of PO. “The reason for exclusion is a violation of the party's statute when concluding a coalition agreement with the city president Jacek Sutryk. In short: Mrs. Granowska had no right to conclude such a contract, but she concluded it, “said Bryłka.
Granowska beyond PO. Sutryk: It doesn't matter to me
The Civic Platform has been part of the Wrocław coalition since the end of 2018 – from the moment when Jacek Sutryk, supported by the PO, left and the environment of former President Rafał Dutkiewicz, took office. If the decision to exclude Granowska is maintained by the PO national authorities, the party will probably demand its resignation from Sutryk.
The Mayor of Wrocław does not hide his disappointment with the form in which the decision was made. “I regret that the decision was made without the participation of the interested party, which implemented in Warsaw, important for Wrocław. You could wait even until tomorrow. Today's absence was not unjustified. It is a pity that no one listened to the person concerned and witnesses in the case. I would expect other standards” – This is how Wrocław's decision is comments on the President of Wrocław Jacek Sutryk in an interview with Money.pl.
Asked if he would comply with a possible request for dismissing Granowska, he replied: “This situation does not affect my actions. Besides, the decision is not yet final. Let's refrain from assessments. And above all, I call for avoiding political disputes. Residents expect specific actions for Wrocław” – emphasized Sutryk.
Can he undo support PO? The president answers
Is the president not afraid that the Civic Platform will withdraw support in the city council? “I don't like it, if someone threatens me, but I strongly believe that this good and wise coalition of many environments, which for seven years changes Wroclaw well and wisely, will continue to work for the city and its inhabitants” – adds Sutryk.
It is worth recalling that the Civic Coalition currently has a strong representation in the city council of Wrocław. The club consists of as many as 20 councilors out of 37 members of this body.
