Tragedy at an anti-trump protest: A man was shot dead in mistake, in Utah

A man lost his life, being accidentally shot during a protest against US President Donald Trump, held in Salt Lake City, Utah. The incident took place on the weekend. The information was confirmed by the Local Police.

The victim, identified as Arthur Folasa Ah Loo, a 39 -year -old fashion designer from Samoa, peacefully participates in the Salt Lake City march.

According to the police statement, the tragedy occurred after a 24-year-old man appeared in protest with a semi-automatic AR-15 type and began to shake the weapon, causing panic among the protesters, CNN reports.

In an attempt to disarm, a person responsible for the security of the protest has opened fire, pulling three bullets. One of them hit the fatal, by mistake, Arthur Folasa Ah Loo. The police said that the victim was an innocent passenger, trapped in the chaos created.

The firearms caused hundreds of protesters to run away. Some hid behind the barriers or took refuge in parking and nearby stores, the police said in a statement. “It's a weapon. Come on, come on, come here”a witness said in a video posted on social networks, which seems to show the events.

The 24 -year -old man who sowed panic was arrested and charged for the crime. The authorities said that he had no firearms. The person who opened the fire for security reasons was not detained, but cooperates with the ongoing investigation.
