In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the court handed the man a sentence for cruelty to the animal.
Everything happened in the evening of January 21, 2025. The man, being near the cottage in the Berezovsky district, saw a one and a half year old, unfortunate dog named Umka. She cut the stranger and, as a result, got a bullet from him. The animal died. As it turned out later, the dog belonged to one of the local residents.
“Using an insignificant occasion, acting with cruelty, neglecting the norms of morality and humane treatment of animals, from hooligan motives a man shot a dog into a dog, realizing that with his criminal acts he caused pain and suffering, as well as injuries that entailed the painful death of the animal,” the united press service of the courts of the region said.
In relation to the man, they opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 245 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (cruelty to the animal in order to cause him pain and suffering, as well as from hooligan motives that entailed his death). During the hearing, he fully pleaded guilty.
The flayer was sentenced to a fine in state revenue in the amount of 20 thousand rubles. Disagreeing with the sentence, the assistant prosecutor of the Berezovsky district filed an appeal.
In addition, the convict’s lawyer filed an appeal in connection with disagreement with a sentence regarding material evidence. The date of the new court hearing is still unknown.
