21 deputies with properties in the Capital remain without money from the settlement of the rent. Parliamentarians change the status

Ciprian Şerban, the president of the Chamber of Deputies, said on Monday, June 16 that the regulation will be modified, through a project, so that they will no longer benefit from the lump sum for the settlement of the rent parliamentarians who have properties in the Capital.

If until today the parliamentarians, the deputies, the senators, who had a home in Bucharest, did not benefit from this lump sum for the settlement of the rent, through this proposal they will not benefit from it even the parliamentarians. Because here and it was the problem, I understand that some parliamentarians with properties in Bucharest, but not having their domicile in Bucharest, received this lump sum, for the settlement of the rent”, Stated the President of the Chamber of Deputies, according to News.ro.

Ciprian Şerban states that there are 21 parliamentarians from the Chamber of Deputies, who were collecting amounts for rent, although they had properties in Bucharest or Ilfov. Also, according to the new project, they will no longer benefit from money for rent even the parliamentarians whose spouses have houses in the Capital.

It was found that 270 deputies of the 331 of the Romanian Parliament receive money for rent in Bucharest, although some of them have properties.

The law says that the parliamentarians receive accommodation money in the Capital if they do not have their domicile registered in Bucharest or in Ilfov county. The amount for rent is equivalent to 50% of the gross/month allowance to which the respective deputy or senator is entitled.

According to the newspaper “Free Europe”, which analyzed all the declarations of wealth, are no less than 17 people who have properties in Bucharest or Ilfov county and receive from the state and rent money. They are:

PSD: Adrian Câciu, Vlad-Florentin Drînceanu, Mirela-Florence Matichescu, George-Adrian Popa, Ştefan-Ovidiu Popa and Mihai-Viorel Fifor. They are added Grațiela-Leocadia Gavrilescu, also chosen on the PSD lists, but from the Social Liberal Humanist Party.

Gold: Ștefăniță Avrămescu, Florin-Eugen Cîrligea, Mugur Mihăescu, Silviu-Florin Oancea, Dumitru Tilea, Florin Bogdan Velcescu, Gianina Șerban, whose husband has real estate business in Ilfov county.

The National Liberal Party (PNL): Florin -Claudiu Roman and George Șerban Cătălin, and a parliamentarian from the party of young people (Pot) – Dumitrița Albu, Sos Romania – Mariana Vârgă and Union Save Romania (USR) – George Gima.
