Al Ahli and Inter Miami finished in a draw, score 0-0, in the opening match of the World Club Championship.

The match in the group was played at the “Hard Rock” stadium in Miami, Florida. The match started shortly after 3:00 (Romania time). As expected, the ceremony before the match was extremely lavish, delaying the official start with about ten minutes.

Javier Mascherano, as expected, included all his stars in the first eleven, the only exception being Jordi Alba, who was not even in the lot due to medical problems, according to Sportal.bg.

On the field, from the first minute, were Lionel Messi (with captain's banner), Sergio Busquets and Luis Suárez. The opponents of Al Ahli cannot boast an equally sound lot, among the holders being largely Egyptian players. The only name that is a little more known to the general public is that of Trezeguet, aged 30, who played at Aston Villa until 2022.

The ones from Inter Miami had possession, but the Egyptians were the ones who created opportunities. Wesam Abu Ali (31) sent the ball to the American gate, but the goal was canceled for offsaid. 12 minutes later, Ustari defeated a penalty executed by Trezeguet.

The teams did not waste time and entered the match directly, the two bands trying completely different tactics. Javier Mascherano's boys had possession, while Al Ahly tried to hit the counterattack, having clearer opportunities.
