Estee Lauder announced on Sunday that his Emerit President Leonard Lauder has died on Saturday, at the age of 92, reports Reuters.

Lauder joined the company in 1958 and played a key role in transforming the business, which from several products sold under a single brand in US shops has reached a multibrand cosmetics giant.

Leonard Lauder built Estee Lauder and turned it into one of the largest cosmetics in the world, catapulting into the top of the most rich New York, writes Bloomberg.

The company was founded by its parents, Estee Lauder and Joseph Lauder, in 1946, and he turned it into a sales giant of 15.61 billion in fiscal year 2024, writes Women`s Wear Daily, who described as an architect of the cosmetics industry.

Leonard Lauder has held several positions in the company Estee Lauder over six decades and has led the launch of brands like Aramis, Clinique and Lab Series.

In 2018, when asked what the achievement was the most proud, he said it was “the people I raised and who run the company today.”

“These people are the achievement of which they are the most proud. The richness of a company is its people, and we are a very rich company,” said Leonard Lauder.
