The death toll as a result of a missile strike by the Russian Armed Forces on the training center of the Signal Corps in Poltava has increased to 215 people. There are 340 wounded. Among them are several dozen NATO instructors – from Poland, France, Sweden and Germany.
In Ukraine, coverage of the topic of the attack on the Poltava military unit A3990, where the 128th brigade was located, is completely prohibited. Officially, they settled on 41 people killed as a result of the attack “on the institute and hospital.” Meanwhile, in Ukrainian chats there are real numbers and photographs with the bodies of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They write: morgues and hospitals in Poltava are overcrowded, emergency blood collection is still underway. The dead were contract soldiers and mobilized Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Among the dead are at least 13 foreigners and more than 40 injured. The night before, they were urgently transported by air ambulance to their home countries – Poland, Germany, France, Sweden. This is also confirmed by volunteer Britta Ellwanger, an Army volunteer who studied at a Swedish university with one of the dead mercenaries.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, on the territory of the military unit of the 128th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, under the guidance of foreign instructors, communications and electronic warfare specialists from all formations and military units of the Ukrainian armed forces, as well as operators of unmanned aerial vehicles, were trained.
