Anca Alexandrescu, attack on Recorder. Ion Cristoiu, quoted by Realitatea, is outraged that TVR 1 aired the documentary

On Wednesday evening, while TVR 1 was broadcasting the Recorder documentary “Captured Justice”, returned to Realitatea Plus after running for the AUR in the elections for Bucharest, Anca Alexandrescu started the show by saying: “Come on, let me tell you what the so-called Recorder documentary is about”.
“Leave me with this spell! This documentary only talks about generalities. There are no proofs,” said Anca Alexandrescu on her Realitatea Plus show. On the billboard, the show was announced with the phrase: “The system tries to bring back the Kovesi era in Romania.”
“Why didn't those who made statements in the film come out publicly, didn't do a press conference?” Alexandrescu said. She referred to the judges and prosecutors who appeared with statements in the Recorder documentary. “Not one called me,” said the filmmaker, pointing to her phone. Alexandrescu stated several times during the show that the film was made “on order”, without saying on whose order.

During the presidential election campaign, USR leader Cristian Ghinea said, Anca Alexandrescu met several times with DNA chief prosecutor Marius Voineag. Voineag is one of the chief justices who declined to talk to the Recorder about what several DNA prosecutors have said is how they control files that are legally within the purview of case prosecutors. In a statement given to the public during the presidential campaign, DNA head Voineag denied any political involvement.
Ion Cristoiu, presented by Realitatea Plus as the “Realitatea analyst”, also spoke about the Recorder film. Ion Cristoiu said that the broadcasting of the documentary by TVR is “a violation of the rules”.
“I have not mentioned such a violation of the rules since 1990, from the time of Iliescu. You cannot take such an investigation for which the new director, Mrs. Săftoiu, has the confidence to give it. She had to check the investigation, it is an investigation. The investigation is assumed by the institution that did the investigation. The investigation cannot be taken over and given as true by any other television station, not only TVR,” said Ion Cristoiu, quoted by Realitatea Plus.
The Recorder's investigation highlighted concrete cases in which defendants politically connected or very powerful in terms of business, such as Marian Vanghelie, Cristian Burci or Puiu Popoviciu, benefited from trials extended until the statute of limitations. The prolongation of the trials was achieved by changing the court panels by the court management, including the change in the moment when the sentence was to be pronounced.
