The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, discussed both with his Iranian counterpart on Friday, who transmitted that Moscow condemns the actions of Israel against Iran and with the Israeli prime minister, who told him that the problems regarding the Nuclear Program of Tehran can be solved only by diplomacy, Reuters reports.
According to the Kremlin, Putin told President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, that Russia “condemns the actions taken by Israel with the violation of the UN Charter.” At the same time, the Russian leader sent condolences to those killed in Israeli attacks.
In a separate conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Vladimir Putin “emphasized the importance of returning to the discussion process and solving all the problems related to the nuclear program of Iran strictly by political and diplomatic means,” notes the Kremlin.
The Kremlin claims that Russia will remain in a close contact with both Iran and Israel.
The discussion between Vladimir Putin and the two leaders took place in the context in which, on Thursday night, Israel attacked Iran's nuclear installations, Iranian ballistic missiles and Iranian military commanders, as described to be the beginning of an operation meant to prevent Tehran to build an atomic bomb.
While the F-35, F-15 and F-16 Israeli aircraft launched Raid on Iran targets, Kamikaze drones planted by Mossad near the Tehran capital hit the missile launchers. Most likely, new Israeli raids, but also a harsh response of Iran, will show, and the next few days will show what country has prepared better for this confrontation, the Economist, New York Times and Times of Israel.
According to the BBC, new Israeli strokes were held in Iran on Friday night.
