The National Audiovisual Council (CNA) sanctioned the Realitatea Plus position with a fine of 40,000 lei due to the violation of the provisions of the legislation in the field regarding the clear separation of facts, in a way that has contravened impartiality assurance.
According to a statement broadcast on Thursday by CNA and quoted by Agerpres, the Council, met in public meeting, analyzed the reports drawn up by the Monitoring Directorate as a result of self -assessment and notifications and has decided to apply the following sanctions:
– a fine of 40,000 lei to the post Realitatea Plus, for violating the provisions of art. 66 and art. 67 of the Code of regulation of the audiovisual content in the shows “Breaking News” (March 1), “Sulces of the Parallel State” (March 20) and “Day Report” (March 26).
Among the statements in the shows were: Anca Alexandrescu-“Today I spoke more with Mrs. Georgescu. – a fine of 5,000 lei to the Antena 3 CNN station because at the broadcast of the January 20 edition of the show “Synthesis of the day”, the provisions of art. 40 para. (2) and (3) of the Code of regulation of the audiovisual content, regarding the respect of the right to one's own image and the principle AUDIATUR ET ALTERA PARS (“Listen to the other side”).

Other sanctions given by CNA
In the same meeting on Thursday, the CNA sanctioned with four public summons Realitatea Plus and with a public order the Antena Stars station.
At the same time, the Council decided to issue decisions regarding the order to act against the illegal content for a series of audiovisual materials identified on Facebook and for audiovisual materials through which the “Lipozal” product is promoted, identified on the Instagram platform.
