A longer trip to space. NASA and Axiom Space postpone the start of the AX-4 mission with Uznański-Wiśniewski

NASA and Axiom Space postpone the start of the AX-4 mission on an international space station-it was given on Thursday in NASA. This time, the delay is caused by leakage in the Russian Zawizda service module.

As it was written, as part of the ongoing investigation, NASA cooperates with Roskosmos (Russian State Corporation for Space Activities) – “in order to understand the new pressure signal that appeared after recent repair works at the back of the Service Module of the International Space Station.”

The communiqué announced that Russian cosmonauts staying at the space station recently carried out an inspection of the internal surface of the pressure module, sealed additional areas of doubt and measured the current level of leakage.

“After these activities, the segment currently maintains the pressure. Postponing the mission Axiom Mission 4 gives NASA and Roskosmos an additional time to assess the situation and determine whether additional repair actions are necessary. NASA is asking Roskosmos to answer detailed questions about the Zawizda module,” we read on the NASA website.
