Procter & Gamble and Act for Tomorrow have launched a new edition of the campaign is our home. The action of collecting waste from nature has been carried out in 5 cities in Romania during May – June, to encourage an active involvement of the community in environmental protection. During the action, over 400 volunteers from Bucharest, Botosani, Dâmbovița, Dolj and Vâlcea collected over 10 tons of waste. With the support of the authorized organizations, some of them will be recycled. Also, over 90 volunteers participated in a planting action of seedlings in howls, Prahova, in April.
Andrei Coșuleanu, president Act for Tomorrow, said: “8 years ago, along with P&G Romania we started on a new journey, by which we set out to contribute to the protection of nature. This road continues, and this year we have joined new volunteers and partners from the local communities, who have supported us to clean the waste thrown irresponsibly in nature. We are not just talking about a punctual project, but about a movement built over time – a collective effort that brings together dedicated, passionate and motivated people to do well.“
Whether we support hygiene education or ensure a simple need, such as strict necessity products for families in need, our goal is to improve the health and well -being of each community that we reach with our programs. The partnership with Act for Tomorrow was launched in 2018 and has gradually become a campaign that brought together P&G volunteers, NGOs and local communities, in an effort to clean areas from all over the country. So far, over 3,900 volunteers have been involved, from several cities in Romania, being collected over 54 tons of waste. At the same time, due to the efforts of the volunteers and the partner NGOs, over 12,500 seedlings were planted.
