Grammy Awards at Electric Castle: What award -winning artists will you see at the festival

The dream of any singer, producer, instrumentalist, composer or rocker is to win the most important prize in the music industry: the Gold Gramophon. Just as every year, Electric Castle does not lack artists who won and/or have been nominated for the Grammy Awards. This year you will see at the festival musicians who have reached the peaks of success in pop, electronic music, rock, reggae or rap.

Justin Timberlake: ten out of forty

Justin Timberlake is the absolute leader among the artists in Line Up = Ul Electric Castle when it comes to the presence at the Grammy Awards. The American has won ten statues so far and has been nominated 40 times, the most recent for the song “Better Place”, registered with its former colleagues from N*Sync. We find it in several categories, from the obvious ones, “Best Pop” or “Album of the Year”, to some you did not expect, like “Best Rap Song” or “Best Song Written for Visual Media. He was also nominated as a manufacturer on a Beyonce album. Justin Timberlake's versatility is obvious in his Grammy record and will be even more spectacular in the Electric Castle show.

Justice: From Grammy 2025 to Electric Castle

The French from Justice have been nominated seven times at Premille Grammy and won three times. Two of these awards were awarded for remixed parts, from MGMT and their own discography. The only original song that was distinguished with a Grammy was “Neverender”, the single on the newest studio, a collaboration with impala Tame. The album “Hyperdrama” also received a nomination in the category “The best electronic music album”, which means that the French are in full swing. One of the best pieces so far by Justice, “Neverender” will be sung, for the first time in Romania, at Electric Castle.

Queens of the Stone Age: Subscribe to Grammy Awards

Queens of the Stone Age is a particular case in the history of the Grammy Awards. It all started in 2002, when the song “No One Knows” was nominated in the “Best Hard Rock Performance” category. Since then, the Queens of the Stone Age has remained a constant presence in the list of nominations. Every time they released a new album, the Americans were in competition for a Grammy prize, whether it's a song or “Best Rock Album”. With a consistency of over two decades and nine nominations so far, the Queens of the Stone Age is the band you expect a great live experience. They will confirm this on Friday, July 18, at Banffy Castle.

Shaggy: Awarded for “Boombastic” and a collaboration with Sting

The first Grammy won by Shaggy was for an album that is thirty this year. “Boombastic” took the gold gramophone for “Best Reggae album”, a category in which it was present later, six times. His next victory in Grammy came in 2019, when he removed the material “44/876”, a collaboration with the English musician. A collaboration that was surprising only for those who did not know that Sting has experienced reggae rhythms since the 80's, when he was in The Police.

Sofi Tukker: A brotherly rivalry with another duo from Electric Castle

In 2019, when the Sofi Tukker duo was fighting for the trophy in the category “Best Dance/Electronic Album”, the two were already in the second experience among the nominations. They were in the attention of the jury two years ago, when “Drinkee” was nominated for “Best Dance Record”. But the prize for the best album has another prestige, it is a bigger stake, you are appreciated for several compositions, not just one. Unfortunately they didn't win. The prize was awarded to another duo that we will hear at Electric Castle: Justice. At the festival you will listen to both materials and give the final verdict alone.
