Even PLN 1200 Electronics. The energy voucher will return

There are many indications that an energy voucher may return, which is to protect seniors from the effects of introducing new fees resulting from carbon dioxide emissions. The rulers have support up to PLN 1,200 up their sleeve.

As “Fakt” reminds, The Polish government is seeking to postpone the entry into force of the ETS2 system, which assumes the implementation of a new fee for carbon dioxide emissions. The entry into force of this regulation may in practice mean higher energy bills. Although the plan of Donald Tusk's cabinet assumes that the entry into force of the changes will be postponed, then at the same time On June 6, the Ministry of Funds presented a socio-climate plani.e. the document in which the rules of new support were presented.
According to the government plan, which met “Fakt”, subsidies would come from the Social Climate Fund. Support is to be addressed to people who have low income for which additional fees will mean a high burden on the household budget.

As “Fakt” found out, Financial support would be addressed to pensioners (and more specifically people who have reached the statutory retirement age)whose income does not exceed PLN 2,525 gross. What's more, the type of inhabited property is also to be one of the criteria. Help would go to the inhabitants of buildings that have their own heat source powered by mine fuels, i.e. coal, heating oil.

In the government document, the content of which was known by “Fakt”, it was written that The assistance would be transferred by the Social Insurance Institution after submitting an appropriate application. Energy vouchers for seniors in the form of vouchers would be awarded once a quarter for a maximum of five years.
“It is planned that the average support for the household in a difficult situation may amount to about PLN 1,200 per year per household. (…) Direct support can therefore cover from 25 percent to even 66 percent of the annual electricity account for sensitive recipients, which means significant reduction of debt risk, as well as protection against disconnection of energy supply” – the content of which the content is included in the document. If the ETS2 system enters into force, then the first energy vouchers can reach recipients in 2027.
