Atletico Madrid arrived on Tuesday, June 10, in Los Angeles for the World Club Championship, but the city “boils” due to continuous protests on Donald Trump's immigration policy. Several police crews are constantly in the center of the cities, and several helicopters are flying.
Violent protests at one step from the hotel at Atletico Madrid
The protests reached the climax on Monday evening, June 9, shortly before the team arrived. Conrad Hotel, where Atletico's delegation was accommodated for the next two weeks, was the target of the protesters.
Just a few meters away, at Walt Disney Concert Hall, the headquarters of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, several people attacked the building with stones and other objects, causing damage to one of the entries. The door has been replaced with wooden planks to prevent the access of the protesters.

According to witnesses, the protesters also wrote slogans on the walls of the building. The incidents also endangered the programmed concerts of the Philharmonic.
The situation was aggravated with the imposition of traffic prohibition after 8:00 pm on several streets near the Atletico hotel. The restriction, lasting almost 11 hours, causes concern among the team and those in the city, according to Sportal.gr.
Diego Simeone's team is in Group B, of which PSG, Seattle Sounders and Botafogo are also part.
