Companies investing in land wind energy are not necessarily waiting to reduce the distance of windmills from the buildings from the current 700 to 500 m. Meanwhile, the government is still counting that the draft law will enter into force – writes “Puls Biznesu” on Wednesday.

As the daily reminds, the annual conference of the Polish Wind Energy Association started in Świnoujście. Among the about two thousand participants are representatives of companies investing in land and sea wind farms, consulting companies and Think Tanków.
The newspaper points out that although the conference began on the eve of the vote of trust for the government, conversations about the possible consequences of this vote were hardly heard. One of the topics was the winning of Karol Nawrocki in the presidential election and the perspective of his veto to amend the so -called windmill act. It is a project prepared by the government and already sent to the Sejm to reduce the minimum distance of wind farms from buildings from 700 to 500 m – indicates the daily.
As “PB” notes, one could hear in the lobby that maybe the government would try to lead the law to President Andrzej Duda. On the other hand – that investors from the wind industry are not necessarily delighted with the draft amendment. This is because the reduction of the distance to 500 m is accompanied by conditions that are difficult to meet.
“With large wind turbines, with 7 MW, it is difficult to find a distance less than 700 m due to noise,” says “PB” an industry. Another compares the noise generated by such a turbine to the fridge at home at a distance of 700 m, and at 500 m – to a freight elevator. Only this first distance allows me to meet the provisions on noise standards – we read. (PAP)
