Russia has sent a long-range bomber Tupolev TU-22M3 in a flight above the Baltic Sea, the Minister of Defense announced, in the first mission of the June 1 attack on the air bases in Siberia and the extreme north of the country, reports Reuters.

Russia regularly launches bombers flights as a sign of power and to discourage opponents, but Wednesday seems like a message that things are usually despite Ukrainian attacks.

The Russian Defense Minister said that the plane flew more than four hours above the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea, escorted a time of foreign fighter jets, probably NATO countries.

The TU-22M3 and TU-95MS aircraft are part of the long-range aviation fleet that Russia have used in the war to launch conventional missiles on Ukrainian cities, weapons, military bases, energy infrastructure and other targets. They are capable of carrying nuclear load and, next to the ballistic missiles launched from the ground and on the submarines, are part of the strategic nuclear discouragement force.

Deputy Foreign Minister Serghei Riabkov said the moscow nuclear discouragement potential on Wednesday did not suffer “obvious damages” as a result of Ukrainian attacks.

Riabkov has previously said that Russia will repair the damage produced by attacks, although satellite images clearly indicates that some planes have been destroyed. The US is estimated at almost 20 the number of hit aircraft, of which 10 were destroyed. Instead, Ukraine announced the hit of 41 aircraft.

Riabkov has accused the Western countries of providing Ukraine technical assistance for choosing targets and by transmitting real -time data, which makes them complicit.

“These countries, which have these capabilities, have taken this step, deliberately testing our patience and resistance. They violated the fuels of nuclear discouragement, not only by the irresponsible indulgence against the Kiev regime, but also providing it with essential information,” Riabkov said.

The United States said President Donald Trump was not informed beforehand about the Ukrainian operation, entitled “Spider cloth”, about which Volodimir Zelenski said he needed 18 months planning.
