Massive attack with rockets and Russian drones on Kiev and Odessa. Russian forces hit a maternity ward
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, June 10, the cities of Kiev and Odessa were again the target of a massive Russian attack, involving ballistic missiles and drones. In the capital there were strong explosions, while the air defense systems were activated to intercept targets.

According to local authorities, four people were injured in Kyiv. In the port city of Odessa, located in the south of Ukraine, one person was killed, and at least four were injured. Among the damaged buildings are medical units, including a maternity hospital. Air Forces had previously warned about the danger of rocket and drone attacks
Independent Kyiv journalists on the spot reported that noises were heard by drones and more explosions throughout the city.
The mayor of Kiev, Vitali Kliciko, announced that several cars were included in the Savcenkivskii district, and drone fragments fell in the yard of a school in the Obolonskii district. Emergency services were sent to the affected areas, and medical crews also intervened in the Podilskii and Darnîțkii districts.
In the Dniprovskii district, smoke releases were observed from uninhabited buildings, and in the Obolonskii a fire broke out in another uninhabited location. Kliciko warned that a new wave of Russian drones were heading to the Capital and asked the inhabitants to stay in shelters, given that the massive attack on Kiev continued.
“A residential building burns in the Savcenkivskii district. A woman is injured and receives medical care”said Tymur Tkacenko, the head of the Kiev Military Administration at 3:10 in the morning.
Kliciko added that another injured person in the Dernîțkii district received on -site care, and a third victim was hospitalized in the Obolonskii district. At 5:58, the mayor confirmed that a fourth injured was admitted to the attack on the capital.
“Today, more than ever, it takes unity … The night was difficult, but due to the incredible work of the defense forces we managed to minimize the losses of human lives.”Tkacenko said later. “A difficult day follows. Maybe even more. It will take time to eliminate the consequences.”
In Odessa, the local authorities announced that a person had died, and at least four were injured following the attack with Russian drones.
“The administrative building of a medical emergency station was completely destroyed. A fire broke out on the spot. Several ambulances were damaged. Fortunately, no employee was injured.”transmitted the governor of the Odessa region, Oleh Kiper, at 3:40 am.
A maternity hospital in Odessa was also damaged after the attack. The local authorities said that no patient and no staff member was injured, all being safe. Odessa is about 442 kilometers south of the capital Kyiv.
This new assault takes place just one day after Russia has launched a record number of 499 air weapons on Ukraine, including 479 Kamikaze Shahed drones, diversion drones, four KH-47M2 kinzhal ballistic missiles, 10 KH-101 cruise missiles, three kH-22 launched above the Black Sea, two anti-Radar missiles KH-31P and a KH-35 cruise missile launched from busy Crimea.
Ukraine announced that it had neutralized 479 of these targets: 292 were shot down, and 187 were to be hung by electronic war.
