“We were told that they found toxic substances in the blood. And that there were no blood clots, hemorrhages in the head or in the heart. We contacted the police at first unofficially until we found out that the number of substances was incompatible and destructive, these are medical substances,” said the artist’s wife.
Lesik's wife did not call the substances that were found in her husband's blood. Irina Turko said that the police, when they came to officially write a statement, refused to accept it.
“The statement was written that it was an attempt on life. They refused me. We filed a lawsuit for the inaction of the police, the judge refused me, wrote an appeal with a ban on cassation. Everything, the case was closed,” she said.
According to Irina Turko, her husband could be poisoned only for personal reasons.
“Not for property, not competition in show business. This is some very personal hatred of Lesik. Someone really hates him, very much,” she emphasized.

December 6, 2024, artist colleagues reported that he is in intensive care in serious condition. The artist’s wife noted then that during a speech in Lviv, his heart stopped.
