In Krasnoyarsk, traffic police inspectors brought to justice a persistent traffic violator who did not pay fines.
The patrol stopped a Lada Priora car driven by a 21-year-old local resident on the afternoon of October 8 on Voronova Street. When checking the documents, it turned out that the young man had never received a driver's license.
“Without the right to drive, this citizen received 20 administrative fines totaling over 15 thousand rubles in six months (mainly for violating the speed limit and driving in a dedicated lane), but did not pay them on time,” the traffic police said.
For investigation, the driver was taken to the traffic police regiment, where he stated that he allegedly sold the car and “another person issued the fines.” Since this was not proven, 19 reports were drawn up against the detainee.and failure to pay fines when due. Under Part 1 of Article 20.25 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation he can be punished imposition of a fine equal to twice the amount of the unpaid amount, or arrest for up to 15 days, or compulsory labor for up to 50 hours. The driver was also held accountable under Part 1 of Article 12.7 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for driving a vehicle without a license – for this he faces a fine in the amount of 5 thousand to 15 thousand rubles.
The car was placed in an impound lot.
