Lauren Tomasi, a correspondent for the US of the 9News TV station in Australia, transmitted live from the protests in Los Angeles on Sunday, when she was hit by a rubber bullet pulled by the nearby police, reports CNN.

“Lapd is advancing riding, pulling with rubber bullets to protesters, led them through the center of Los Angeles,” she said in front of the cameras and showing with the officers in anti-revolt equipment.

A few seconds later a bump is heard, and Tomasi grasped his foot, screaming in pain. The filming team is quickly withdrawing, several voices asking if it is well.

The Australian news post later transmitted that it remained with a localized pain, but did not suffer other wounds.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) announced on Sunday night that the entire area of the Los Angeles center was “declared illegal assembly.”

“You have to leave the center area immediately,” the police warned in a post made on the social network “X”.

The police in the second most populated US city have also issued verbal warnings and social networks before sending law enforcement to arrest or remove people who violate the order.

Los Angeles police warned to use low lethality ammunition

A few minutes before the police announce the new disposition, the officers sent in a message on the social networks that the “agitators” were “dispersed in and through the center area.”

“Residents, business and visitors in the center area should be vigilant and report any criminal activity,” they wrote.

While the protesters continue to face the police in the center of Los Angeles, the officers warned that the “use of incendiary devices” against the authorities will be greeted with “appropriate force.”

“Low lethality ammunition were authorized,” LAPD wrote in another message on “X”. “Low lethality ammunition can cause pain and discomfort,” the message warned.

Images with clashes between law enforcement and protesters dissatisfied with immigration raids were caught on Sunday night on the streets of Los Angeles, where, one day ago, Donald Trump ordered the California National Guard to intervene.

The noise of fireworks and police ammunition rang everywhere. At least five cars have completely burned and several cars of the authorities were hit with protester objects, BBC reports.
