Mobilization of reservists in 5 counties and in Bucharest throughout the year. Where the first MApN exercise will take place
The Ministry of National Defense has announced that, during 2026, several reservist mobilization exercises will be held to test the population's readiness for defense. The first exercise will take place between May 11-15, in Alba and Hunedoara counties.
The exercise is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Administration of State Reserves and Special Issues, local public authorities, public institutions and economic operators with attributions in the field.
“The reservists residing in Alba and Hunedoara counties will be called to the established units to participate, for one day, in specific training sequences. At the same time, the National Administration of State Reserves and Special Problems will carry out evaluation activities of the local public administration authorities, public institutions and economic operators in Alba county”, says the MApN press release.
Similar exercises took place in Alba county in 2016 and in Hunedoara county in 2018.
The reservists will be called up by an order to call up the reservists for mobilization exercises and training, sent through the MAI, and the evaluation activities of local public administration authorities and economic operators are organized and coordinated by the National Administration of State Reserves and Special Issues.
In 2026, two more MOBEX exercises are planned: the second will take place in September, targeting the counties of Neamț, Suceava and Botoșani, and the next in October when reservists from Bucharest and Ilfov will be mobilized

The previous MOBEX exercise took place in October 2025, which included reservists from Bucharest and Ilfov County.
