None of the US presidents used the National Guard without coordination with the governor since 1965 – CNN pointed out.
Trump wrote on Sunday on Truth Social that Los Angeles was “invaded and is occupied by illegal immigrants and criminals.” We will restore order and “free” the city – he announced.
According to the CNN station, on Sunday 22 Democrats governors in a joint statement condemned Trump's decision to direct the National Guard to Los Angeles. This movement was assessed as an abuse of power.
