In the middle of May there was an “extremely successful” test with a Ukrainian ballistic missile, a Ukrainian military expert revealed. As far as I know, the projectile traveled almost 300 kilometers and hit a Russian command point, Valentin Badrak, director of the non -governmental organization said on the army, conversion and disarmament on Television.
“In May 2022 a new missile program was launched, but the Ministry of Defense Strategy and Industry was implemented quite weak, despite the fact that this was a priority. Finally, in July the first successful tests took place.
According to Badrak, the administration of this missile program was carried out correctly since July 2024. In context, in August 2024 Volodimir Zelenski announced the successful test of the first ballistic missile made from Ukraine.
“A deputy of the Minister of Defense specialized in this field – General Klochko, has appeared, who organized the entire program so far. Within the Ministry of Defense, the General Directorate for Supervision of the Rocket Program appeared. In the middle of May there were tests that are evaluated as extremely successful – the rocket traveled almost 300 km and destroyed the Russian command point, and it is very important that this is a use in combat conditions, ”added the expert.
He stressed that after that, the rocket will be launched in series.
“Among other things, it is stated that just within this program, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Defense Strategy and Industry work quite synchronized. So far, the Ministry of Strategy and Defense Industry has braked seriously. I do not know how many missiles can be expected in a month, in a year-I think their number will grow very strongly. It weighs only 91 kg, “added Badrak, probably referring to the PRSM short-range ballistic rocket, which will replace the Atacms.
