During the “Road to URC – Security and Defense Dimension” conference in Rzeszów, the deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense emphasized in an interview with PAP that Ukraine is currently a unique testing ground due to direct contact with a foreign army. According to Tomczyk, equipment manufactured in Poland should first be tested on national training grounds, and then in real conditions on the battlefield.

– This is a true picture of what works and what does not work – said the deputy minister.

The second pillar of the relationship is to be the exchange of technology. Tomczyk mentioned WB Electronics as an example of an entity already cooperating with Ukraine, emphasizing, however, the need to increase the scale of these activities. The ministry's goal is to develop a model based on symbiosis and building a common technological advantage, while maintaining the priority of supporting the struggling neighbor.

When asked about the possibility of joint production of drones in Poland, Tomczyk confirmed that such an option exists. He stressed that this requires a specific model of cooperation that will benefit both countries and take into account the needs of Ukraine as a country requiring military assistance.

The event in the capital of Podkarpacie is a stage of preparations for the June conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine organized in Gdańsk. Representatives of the ministry and industry are currently looking for military projects that can be implemented together, taking into account the current situation on the front.

In Rzeszów, in addition to panels devoted to cybersecurity and dual-use solutions, the Expo zone has been operating since Sunday. More than 120 exhibitors from several countries present modern defense technologies, which is intended to support the building of international industrial and capital partnerships in response to the challenges of the modern battlefield.
